About GCS

We are passionate about God and the ‘Commission’ Jesus left to His Disciples, as recorded in the Bible, where Jesus said,

Mark 16:15
He said to them, ‘Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.

Matthew 28:19
Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,

GCS Missions is a ministry arm of GCS (Great Commission Society), which is a global ‘non-denominational’ organisation that exists to communicate the Gospel message with excellence and expedience. GCS brings a fresh, dynamic, Gospel-centric, and strategic approach to global evangelism. Our commitment is to communicate the Gospel to every person in the world using a three-fold process of ‘Reaching-to-Sow’, ‘Teaching-to-Sow’’ and ‘Serving-to-Sow’’.

Reaching-to-Sow:

GCS develop innovative methods and create more opportunities to spread and proclaim the Gospel. With out-of-the-box thinking and cutting-edge methodologies, the GCS team deliver Gospel-centric, operationally innovative evangelistic process optimisation strategies, that yield significant and lasting fruit. GCS has a growing team of evangelists serving within our ministry, with a lot of experience sharing one-to-one across cultures as well as speaking to secular groups, such as: schools; universities; prisons; detention centres; Sports and Fitness; New Age events; marketplace meetings; rehabilitation centres; street work; public meetings, etc… Our team come with God’s anointing, passion and the experience required, helping build momentum in evangelism in the local context.

Teaching-to-Sow:

We do this by providing a substantial training curriculum, reinforced with a robust mentoring programme to equip Christians for effective personal evangelism and discipleship training. Historically, evangelism has become an impersonal event or presentation that stops as soon as it is finished without maintaining any integral part of personal day to day living. Our objective is to work closely with individuals, groups, and church movements around the world to provide relevant training to help them practically reach out to friends, family and acquaintances with the clarity of the Gospel message through both words and actions. The combination of ‘theoretical study’ and ‘putting it into practice’ is where we see most fruit. Experienced evangelists take students into the mission field for “on-the-job” training, to provide real life witnessing situations to help people learn how to share the Gospel and how to lead someone to Christ. In a nutshell, GCS help others share the Gospel more effectively.

Serving-to-Sow:

Keeping evangelism as our central focus, the society also responds to a wide range of humanitarian needs, from the provision of aid for those facing natural or man-made disaster, to providing free educational support to students, government organisations and the general public to promote human welfare and social justice. This is an area of expertise where we support churches and organisations bridge the gap with the secular world to enable them to advance the Gospel.

Our continual challenge as a non-denominational ministry is to adapt to the fast changing world around us, to infuse excellence in evangelism throughout our programmes, and to find new ways to reach lost people. Together with our partners, we are serving in over 100 countries, to translate that commitment into practical action, focusing special effort on equipping the global church.
